What we're seeing
At Mare Island Health and Fitness Academy, the student:teacher ratio has fallen 6% over the 5-year window — from 26.6:1 in 2020 to 24.9:1 in 2024. The gap vs US average of 15.4:1 has narrowed — from 11.2:1 above in 2020 to 9.5:1 above in 2024.
